Many know the bluebonnet as the state flower of Texas. Their spread across the state was anything but unintentional. The 27 th Texas Legislature adopted the flower, aka annual legume Lupinus subcarnosus, as one of its state signifiers.

Limestone County courthouse offices are closed to in-person visitors for now due to the COVID-19 virus restrictions.
The NSDAR Jonathan Chapter attended the 121 st State DAR conference March 12-14 in Dallas, Texas. The President General, NSDAR Denise Doring VanBuren was in attendance. The theme for her administration is “Rise and Shine for America.” Those in attendance from the chapter are members left to right: Kay Alston, Aleece McBay, Vicky McSwane, Regent Nancy McSwane, Marsha Black, Diane Pullin and Pattie Gauntt. There were a total of 1,273 in attendance from over the state.
