Groesbeck ISD Superintendent Anthony Figueroa Announces Departure for New Role
Groesbeck Independent School District (GISD) Superintendent Anthony Figueroa announced his decision to leave the district on the evening of Nov. 20. After nearly two years as GISD superintendent, Figueroa has been named the lone finalist for the superintendent position at Scurry-Rosser Independent School District following a unanimous 7-0 vote by their board.
Bomar Announces Retirement From Football After 49 Year Career
After 49 years of coaching football, Groesbeck Athletic Director/Head Football Coach, Jerry Bomar, has decided to retire effective December 31st of this year. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Texas Tech University in 1975 and has been an AD/HC for the past 43 years consecutively.
