The Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce hosted an informative meeting to discuss chamber plans for the upcoming Heritage Festival Thursday, March 12 and how businesses can benefit from the events.

Members of the Let’s Travel Club left Thursday, Feb. 27, to enjoy nine exciting days on a Collette Discover Panama tour. Many activities were enjoyed as the travelers were introduced to facets of the Panamanian folklore, culture, and traditions.

An early morning trip to the HEB store in Mexia Monday, March 16 turned out to be a trip I will never forget. With the coronavirus scaring the bejesus out of everyone as it continued to spread and with the experts saying the worst of it was yet to come, I was making my third trip in three days to the store to buy...you guessed it-toilet paper, though I wasn’t out. It was just the thought that I could run out and not find some in the weeks ahead. There were other items also on my list that the shelves in HEB had none of in stock as people were scrambling to buy them-rubbing alcohol, hand soap, bleach wipes, water and more.
