“I’m representing several property owners and my family who are very nervous about the tax valuations,” J.R. Sunday said. “Ours doubled on three properties, and some neighbors across the street tripled. We know y’all do a good job on bringing down what y’all actually tax us on, but I’m paying taxes on four pieces of property and having to sell calves and that affects my family’s outcome. It’s fine to up the taxes but to double and triple the evaluation appraisals of these properties? It’s absurd.”
Branded Meat Market opens in Kosse
Kosse residents no longer have to travel out of town for fresh produce or quality cuts of meat, thanks to the recent opening of Branded Meat Market at 101 S. Narcissus St. The store, which opened doors to welcome guests for the first time during Homecoming Celebrations on Saturday, June 10 will be open six days a week and offer products that were previously unavailable in the Little Town with a Big Heart.
