Summer officially gets underway on June 21, but it feels like somebody left the gate open and the dog got out a little early. Outside temperatures have already hit the triple digits several times in parts of Texas. Like it or not, more of the same is sure to follow as big sun and high pressure settle in over the next few months.

New director working to restore Fort to its former glory
Due to this week being Vacation Bible School at Central Baptist Church, there will be no meal served at the center this week. The entire church building has been decorated and is being used for the school.
Former Assistant Principal of H.O. Whitehurst Elementary Kristen Curry is stepping into the topmost leadership position on campus as Principal for the 2023-2024 school year. She is focused on building a strong foundation for Groesbeck ISD’s youngest students and the many years of learning ahead.
