The Groesbeck Lady Goats Junior Varsity and varsity teams were in action this past Friday night at home.
After 49 years of coaching football, Groesbeck Athletic Director/Head Football Coach, Jerry Bomar, has decided to retire effective December 31st of this year. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Texas Tech University in 1975 and has been an AD/HC for the past 43 years consecutively.
After four tough games on the road, the Groesbeck Lady Goats were more than ready to get back in front of the home crowd last Friday evening.
A pair of Groesbeck doubles tennis teams earned First-Team All-District recognition for District 18-4A.
The storms held off around Maypearl last Friday night, however, it would be the storm of the Panthers that closed the book on Groesbeck’s football season.
