We are still down a little on our attendance but hopefully things will get back as usual soon. Lot’s of Doctors appointments, vacations and some sicknesses going on at this time. Those having lunch at center were Lorene Stembridee, Kathryn Vance of Groesbeck, Ann Brown, Elizabeth Neason, Snuffy Bennett, Alma McCurry, Earl Mask, Glenda Gambini, Gayla Lind, Wayne Sharp, Hank and Elle Staniszewski, Neennah German, Janice Bilbrey and Myself. Kathryn was welcomed as a first time visitor in Thornton Center and invited her to join us any time.

Shepherds Sayings

Jesus, in the “Sermon on the Mount” gave Christians their living orders. He said, “Do not take revenge on someone who wrongs you. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, let him slap your left cheek also. And if someone takes you to court to sue you for your shirt, let him have your coat as well.” (Matt. 5:39-40) Some would say these words are extreme and impractical. Keep in mind that Jesus spoke these words at a time when life was cheap and human rights were unheard of. True, the words of Jesus are hard to obey and often do not seem to make sense, and yet, they call believers to obedience.
