With fall hunting seasons just around the corner, hunters are reminded of a Texas law that requires hunter education certification among certain age groups. If you or someone you know needs hunter education certification, it would be wise to get enrolled in a hunter education course soon.
August is nearly half gone and September will be here before we know it. Time for all hunters and anglers to dish out some dough to pay the piper.
Forecasters for the National Weather Service are anticipating a more active hurricane season this year because of record-warm ocean surface temperatures, the Texas Tribune reported.
Groesbeck First Baptist Church hosted all Groesbeck ISD teachers, administrators, and staff Monday, August 7, treating them to a meal of chicken alfredo, mixed vegetables, Caesar salad, and dessert. Each guest was welcomed with an insulated lunch bag from First Baptist Church. The first day of school is next Wednesday, Aug. 17 however teachers, administrators, and staff returned to work last week to prepare for the upcoming school year.
