The Cynthia Ann Garden Club had its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at the Groesbeck Woman’s Club at 1 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Vice President Lynn Raely. The roll was called, and the minutes were distributed to the club members and accepted. After a brief meeting, they had their program. Mandi Wilson and Madelyn Hall from the Groesbeck High School’s Agriculture Department. Propagation of Succulents. They had brought each member a plant already ready and showed them how to plant a succulent from an existing plant. Each member got to pinch off a piece and dip it in the Dip and Grow root stimulant and then had small pots with planting soil in them to place the piece into. The members went home with two plants each.
Groesbeck High School Band participated in the regional marching contest on Wednesday, Oct. 18 and advanced to Area, along with 12 other bands from the region. The band also advanced to the area contest the previous year.
