In the spirit of giving this Thanksgiving season, Groesbeck Fire-Rescue volunteers are here to ease the holiday stress by taking orders for delicious fried or smoked turkeys. Allow them to shoulder the turkey preparation burden, and savor a hassle-free Thanksgiving feast.
Groesbeck First Methodist Church will be having a Christmas Homes Tour & Luncheon on Saturday, Dec. 2. The Homes Tour will include three lovely homes & the church sanctuary all dressed up for Christmas. The event will also include a yummy Holiday Lunch in the Methodist Activity Center, and the opportunity to shop the Bake Sale & Christmas Market. The Homes Tour will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be served starting at 11 a.m. Tickets are $20 per person for Tour & Lunch. Tickets can be purchased from the church office 254-729--5137 or from any church member. Tickets need to be purchased in advance as no tickets will be available at the homes. All proceeds from this fun event will go to support the community’s wonderful youth.
The Groesbeck Middle School held a literary/visual art contest for the month of October with the theme “Attendance Matters”.
Join the Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce this Thursday, November 9, for their monthly Lunch and Learn event. They will be hosting Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry. The lunch will take place at noon at the Groesbeck Convention Center, located at 106 E. Navasota.
