Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes longer.” This year’s Fourth of July celebrations are a great time to talk about bravery, and how it makes ordinary men and women the best kind of Americans. Sometimes bravery is about standing up for your values and rights, or it might mean risking life and limb to help another human being in need. Either way, it is always inspiring. Here are some of the bravest of the brave we’ve known in our time.
Kosse citizens gathered to celebrate the official grand opening of Duck Mud Coffee on Saturday, June 27. Though the shop on 208 S. Mignonette St. has been serving coffee creations such as the Drunk Duck (a bourbon flavored coffee) for about two months, this celebration with Kosse EDC allowed them to showcase many other items that have been added to the menu- including macchiatos and frappuccinos!
Although the coronavirus pandemic has altered some summer professional development events for educators, Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) wants to inspire teachers to bring agriculture to life in their classroom through interactive lessons.
