Limestone Medical Center Receives Check From Firstchoice Cooperative

FirstChoice Cooperative is a member owned group purchasing organization and Limestone Medical Center has been an active participant for 21 years. Special reduced pricing to purchase equipment and supplies is available to the membership through this partnership. In addition to the discounted pricing, the Hospital receives an annual participant dividend. For the 2020-2021 reporting period, LMC received a check in the amount of $48,787.76. Larry N. Groesbeck Chamber holds first annual Christmas Light Contest

The Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce Christmas Lights Contest results were awarded on Monday, Dec. 20. Trophies were delivered to the winners - 1st Place -- Gary and Kim Hill – 903 E. Yeagua, 2nd Place -- Robyn Moss – 114 Frost Creek Ave, 3rd Place -- Trendall Noel – 1002 McClintic Drive, and the Business with the Best Christmas Lights -- Limestone Medical Center. Congratulations to all winners.

The Jonathan Hardin Chapter, NSDAR met for their December meeting on December 8, 2021 at the Gibbs Memorial Library. The meeting was called to order by Regent, Nancy McSwane. Invocation was given by Chaplain Marsha Black. Regent McSwane led the chapter in the DAR Ritual. The pledge to the American flag was led by Diane Pullin and the Pledge to the Texas flag was led by Pat Wiggins. Aleece McBay led the group in the reading of the American Creed followed by Marsha Black leading in the Preamble to the Constitution. Regent McSwane opened the meeting by reading the President General’s Message on Holiday Traditions. Patti Gauntt’s Patriot Moment was given on Women Patriots of the American Revolution and featured Martha Dandridge Washington. National Membership Promotion Certificates were awarded to the following members for their part in gaining new members to DAR; Diane Pullin, Teresa Penny, Billie Bournias, Kay Alston, Patti Gauntt, Vicki Janes, Terri Pryor, Gayle Carpenter, Leigh Ann Steen, Lea Hardison and Michelle Gonzales.
