HUNTSVILLE, Texas (August 29, 2022) - The following area students received degrees during the 2022 Summer semester at Sam Houston State University.
Groesbeck High School Art Teacher Desirae Settlemyer is challenging her art students to get their work out there, and with a competitive spirit herself, she tends to practice what she preaches. Recently, Settlemyer earned first place in two separate art events at the State Fair of Texas, competing with professional artists and teachers from across the state.
More than 350 wellwishers from across the area met together Saturday evening, Aug. 20, to raise funds to help the residents of the Mexia State Supported Living Center.
