The Leopards proved to be as predicted. The Lorena trio of Camden Brock, Carter Pitts and Keegan Powell combined for 51 points as the Leopards claimed a 57- 40 bi- district round victory against the Goats Monday evening at Midway High School in Waco.
Two Groesbeck Independent School District campuses’ went into “secure” status during a threatening situation at Limestone Medical Clinic and rumors of a weapon on campus.
Authorities took a man into custody about 10:05 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, following nearly a 21-hour standoff at Limestone Medical Center.
The standoff began about 1:30 p.m. Thursday when Adam “Skinner” Lenamond, 73, of Groesbeck, drove to LMC with a firearm. He remained in his vehicle, threatening to shoot himself, according to Sgt. Ryan Howard of the Department of Public Safety.
At about 2:30 p.m., Leeann Freeman, LMC Public Relations, said Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck was placed on full lockdown.
There was a high police presence, and law enforcement had barricaded all entrances to LMC.
