The director of Limestone County”s largest employer – the Mexia State Supported Living Center – spoke to the Mexia Lion’s Club recently, telling details about the facility and encouraging those present to spread the word about the job vacancies that present an opportunity for those looking for a job or even a career.
Season Outlook
Every year is a good year for turkey hunting in Texas. Hardin predicts 2023 will follow suit, with plenty of mature gobblers in the field and limited numbers of jennies (juvenile hens) to distract adult birds from tending to business. Toms will be most responsive to calling once adult hens are bred and locked on nests.
Groesbeck ISD to utilize iReady next year to aid in academic growth
The Groesbeck ISD Board of Trustees discussed how to best assist teachers and facilitate academic growth in students at their meeting on Monday, March 27, where they considered utilizing iReady as a supplemental aid to the curriculum district-wide.
