Marlee Price, Kaydence Worsham, Kinsley Chapman and Ellie Ann deCordova were the top four contestants in the 2023 Miss Limestone County Fair Queen Pageant March 20 at Groesbeck High School.
Just about the time we think “Spring has Sprung” here comes another front and knocks us back down. But really, I was expecting such as Easter hasn’t arrived yet but is just around the corner on Sunday, April 9. We did get a nice little rain with this front. Seems it’s always cool or cold when the Limestone County Animal Show is held each year. I have two great-grands showing pigs this year and I wish them and all the rest good luck. If possible, get out and support the children as it will be in full swing all next week at the show barn in Groesbeck.

The Limestone County Historical Commission held its regular meeting at 6 p. m. March 7, in the Limestone County Courtroom. Members present were Donald (Bubba) McDonald, Linda Jordan, Rachel Newman, Sarah McReynolds, Liz McDaniel, Peggy Billingsley and William Reagan. Visitors present were Liam Newman and Daniel Keeling.
Limestone County Judge Richard Duncan voiced concerns during a meeting Thursday, March 16, about some of the logistics at Old Fort Parker and is proposing the county take over the operation.
