Limestone CAD forced to increase values

With a Property Value Study looming on the horizon, Limestone County Chief Appraiser Terri Lenamon lamented through a recent news release, the need for substantial changes to property values in the county. She explained that a failure of the study done by the state comptroller on market values may mean a loss of state funding for local schools.

Janice Bilbrey, Ann Brown, Lorene Stembridge, Jo Ann Archer, Karen Bess, Elizabeth Neason, Sammy Cooper, Wilma Lee, Gay McBride, Snuffy Bennett, Earl Mask, Wayne Sharp, James Lenamond, Doris Lemley, Elle Staniszewski, Gayla Lind Gambini and myself gathered for lunch and bingo Thursday. Everyone said the meal was very good and the bingo winners were happy. Winners Snuffy Bennett, Lorene Stembridge, and Gay McBride each won a game. Karen Bess moved to Thornton a few months ago and had never played bingo and since she’s been here playing she’s learned that she is quite lucky at the game. Elle Staniszewski was the blackout winner. Congratulations to all.
