Groesbeck football coach Jerry Bomar is expecting a physical clash when his team travels to Rice for a 7:30 p.m. game Friday at Bulldog Stadium.
Texas hunting, fishing licenses on sale now
The start of a new hunting season is right around the corner and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is reminding hunters and anglers that current year Texas hunting and fishing licenses (except the Year-from-Purchase All-Water Fishing Package) will expire at the end of August. New licenses for the 2021-22 season go on sale Aug. 15.
Buffalo Stampede Festival and PRCA Rodeo coming Sept. 17-19
The Buffalo Stampede Festival will be held in conjunction with the Pickett PRCA Rodeo on Sept. 17-19 at the Leon County Expo Center south of Buffalo on U.S. Hwy 75. The PRCA Rodeo performances will be Friday and Saturday night, with $12 admission in advance or $10 from a Leon County 4-H or FFA member.
