Despite a drop in the number of traffic crashes throughout the year, 2020 saw a spike in the number of fatalities overall and deaths of people in Texas from not wearing a seat belt. That’s why TxDOT is reminding everyone that buckling up is the best defense in a crash.
“We The People”, a relatively new organization that strives “to show support and appreciation for local veterans” is hosting a softball tournament at Groesbeck City Park on Saturday, May 29th. In furtherance of a commitment to “serve and support our public servants”, the $200.00 registration fee for a team made up of public servants has been waived. Funds raised are to assist local veterans.
Six Lady Goats and seven Goats received All-District honors this past week for softball and baseball.
It is a near certainty that Texans will be allowed to carry handguns without a license in the near future as House Bill 1927 passed both chambers and heads to a conference committee to hash out amendments added in the Senate version.
Baseball season came to a close for the Goats on Friday night after a 10-0 and 5-4 loss to the Caldwell Hornets in a Bi-District series at Mumford High School. Groesbeck ends the season with an 18-14-1 record.
