Thanksgiving Day reminds me of the need to be thankful for the nation in which I live. For the people I know who make my life meaningful, for my physical health, for the material necessities of life, and for God who has let me live in a land where I am free to work, live, travel or worship whenever and wherever I choose.
The Veteran’s Day program, which was held on Wednesday of last week, was very outstanding and very patriotic.
Of course, the 2020 general election was held last Tuesday, November 3, with the election including races all the way from the Courthouse to the White House.
The Groesbeck Lions Club met for its weekly meeting on Wednesday, November 4, at Mi Rancho Restaurant.
The Bible says of Jesus, “He Himself bore our sins in his body on the tree.” (1 Peter 2:24) Christ died in our place on the cross. He represented all sinners as He sacrificed His life.
