Karen Thompson retired last week after over eleven and a half years with Public Works, with a farewell reception held on Thursday, Aug. 29.
Limestone County commissioners and Judge Richard Duncan held a special meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 3, to propose a tax rate for the new fiscal year.
Friday night’s opening season football game at Merk Field in Rogers, resembled two titans trading blows for four quarters, but in the end, it would be the visiting Groesbeck Goats coming out on top with the win, 56-42.
Students, staff, parents, First Methodist Church members, and the Ex-Students Association had an aloha good time at the first pep rally of the year, followed by a pancake breakfast for the athletes provided by the First Methodist Church of Groesbeck.
