Pete Sessions, who is a candidate for United States House as a Representative for District 17, was the guest speaker for the February meeting of the Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce, on Thursday, February 13, at the Groesbeck Convention Center.
From February 6-8, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo held its annual National Cutting Horse Association cutting horse show, one of the largest equine events hosted by the organization. Each year, exhibitors ages 14 to 18 compete for a $10,000 scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to the rider with the top average score from two youth classes that Friday and Saturday.
Friday morning was a whirl of health information and activity as the Health and Wellness Fair took place at the Mexia Civic Center.
Early voting will be held at the Limestone County Courthouse in room G-1, located at 200 W. State St. in Groesbeck. Voters can submit ballots there between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, Feb. 18-21.
