The Groesbeck City Council held an efficient meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 17, adopting the city’s budget and tax rate for fiscal year 2024-2025.

Despite disagreements about the tax rate in budget discussions and workshops of previous meetings, Limestone County commissioners unanimously approved adopting the 2024-2025 tax rate of $0.565/$100 valuation with no quarrels Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Groesbeck ISD School Board members participated in a “round robin” style discussion at their meeting on Monday, Sept. 17, moving around the GHS Cafeteria to hear about the Campus Improvement Plans (CIP) from principals of each campus.
