The 25th Annual Groesbeck Lions Club Car Show was a big success with a total of 52 entries. Lots of new cars, a good show up of community support, and participants from all over Central and North Texas.
Old Fort Parker was the setting for movie night Friday evening, featuring The Searchers, with John Wayne.
Every Monday – The Beer Joint hosts a Pool Tournament at 4864 TX-14 in Thorton. Players meet at 7:30 p.m., and the game starts at 8 p.m. – $10 buyin.
The Limestone County Historical Commission held its regular meeting at 6:00 p. m. on June 6, at the Limestone County Courthouse. Members present were Donald (Bubba) McDonald, Linda Jordan, Peggy Billingsley, Linda Ferris, Bill Ferris, Rachel Newman, Liz McDaniel, and William Reagan.
