Janene K. Freel officially retired from the City of Groesbeck after 10 plus years as the Municipal Court Clerk for Judge Nance. Freel’s last day was Fri. May 29.

Continuing education after high school can be costly. That’s why Limestone County Farm Bureau awarded $1,000 in scholarships to local students.
The American Legion presented its School Awards to two Groesbeck eighth grade students on Memorial Day, May 25, 2020, by Post 288 commander Daniel Burkeen. The boy’s award was presented to Jevan Asberry, and the girl’s award was presented to Avery Stamford. The awards are determined based on honor, courage, leadership, scholarship and service.
