Fall Festival fills Living Proof Church
Living Proof Church of Groesbeck had another great success of a fall festival this year with record turnout. “We know we had more than 1500 people over the course of 4 hours,” said Pastor John Carabin, “We ran out of hotdogs and popcorn and we had over 800 hotdogs and 75lbs of kernels.” Children from all over filled the church grounds with vehicles and firetrucks in the parking lot participating in just one part of the day, the trunk-or-treat event. Though fewer cars might be been involved in the trunk-or-treating that did not mean that there wasn’t enough to make the festival a success for all. This was the fifth year that the church hosted the festival and doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon. Each year they add more things to the mix. This year included a pumpkin patch, fun games, bounce houses, face painting, rides, free hotdogs, popcorns, s’mores, and a costume contest. There were over 150 cakes in the cakewalk game, and over 30,000 pieces of candy given away. Jennifer Paul photos/Groesbeck Journal
