The Cynthia Ann Garden Club had its reassembly social on Thursday, September 22 at the Groesbeck Woman’s Club at noon. Cecily Ball, president, welcomed everyone and Sue Leach gave the invocation.
Longtime Groesbeck high school tennis coach Jim Longbotham was approached to become the marshall at the 2021 Groesbeck homecoming parade, but due to previous commitments he was unable to accept the honor.
Mondays, 6-8 p.m. – First Baptist Church of Tehuacana still hosts a knitting/ crocheting group in the fellowship hall, making prayer shawls or lap robes for people. Anyone wanting to learn to knit or crochet is invited. There is no cost, and the yarn is provided. For more information, contact Angela Bailey at 409-782-0229.
Seven Groesbeck High School classes from the 1950s will be a combined class reunion on homecoming Saturday at the Groesbeck Convention Center. The reunion will follow the Groesbeck Ex-Students luncheon and program. The luncheon will begin around 11:30 a.m.
The Groesbeck Lions Club heard a very interesting program on India last week at their weekly meeting.
