Students Invited to Participate in 2022-2023 Letters About Literature Texas Competition

Austin, TX – The Texas Center for the Book (TCFB) has launched the 2022-2023 Letters About Literature Texas contest, a program that invites students to respond to authors about how their books or poetry have touched their lives. The contest is open to Texas students in grades 4 through 12.

Food for families next week

Food for families is almost here. Fishes And Loaves Food Pantry at Church on the Rock in Groesbeck will take place on Friday, November 18 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The pantry lot is a drive-thru for easy drop-off, enter from the north/left and exit from the south/right. The items needed are listed below. They could also take any condiments, diapers, even toilet paper, and so many other things - they can use it all. You can also donate money by cash or check at the Church on the Rock or go online to KWTX and find the pantry and donate. Please make any checks for donation payable to Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry. Any food or money given here stays here.

Community Calendar

NOV. 10 - 12 noon, Groesbeck Chamber Lunch and Learn with Fishes and Loaves about the local food pantry and the upcoming Food for Families food drive at the Groesbeck Convention Center, 106 E. Navasota. Bring in canned goods or non-perishable items for the pantry and be entered into a drawing for some great door prizes! Lunch will be provided by the Groesbeck Chamber.
