Last week at Lions Club, the 2022 Peace Poster Contest winners were recognized. The Peace Poster theme for this year was Lead with Compassion. The winner from each year is sent to the district level of competition.
On Saturday, December 10, the annual Twin and Sandy Points Christmas Lighted Parade helped build the holiday spirit. The entries included Santa and Mrs.
Parkview Regional Hospital Foundation presented the Limestone County Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels program with a donation of $10,000 on Dec. 8 to help aid in the program’s needs.
Groesbeck Fire-Rescue held its annual Christmas & Awards Banquet at Springfield Hall on Dec. 3, 2022. There were approximately 40 firefighters and spouses in attendance, The Farm House of Mexia catered the event, and DJ Brian Thoele provided entertainment.
Christmas cheer was given freely and in abundance by the West Lake Limestone Volunteer Fire Department (WLLVFD) on Saturday, December 3. The public were all welcome and invited to enjoy a hearty, homemade breakfast, sit with Santa for a photo, and ride around the station on a Christmas train ride.
