In preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday, Thornton residents are advised that trash pickup for the week of November 20 will be rescheduled. Instead of the normal Thursday schedule, trash pickup will occur on Friday, November 24. This change will ensure that all residents have their garbage collected in a timely manner despite the holiday. Please mark your calendars and take note of this change to avoid any inconvenience.
The Mexia Area and Groesbeck Chambers of Commerce are planning a spring hiring fair in Mexia after the success of the Nov. 16 event at the Groesbeck Convention Center.
