The Thornton Chamber of Commerce and Pit Stop is preparing for hunting season with its highly anticipated big buckboard contest.
In a special meeting that spanned fewer than five minutes of open session, the Thornton City Council accepted a 2-weeks notice of resignation from the current Chief of Police, Tim Brewer.
The Thornton City Council spent most of their meeting on Monday, Sept. 9, talking numbers; discussing and calculating appropriate rates for the city’s water, sewer, and trash service, and going through the proposed 2024-2025 budget line by line.
Thornton City Council focused heavily on monetary issues at its Monday, Aug. 12 meeting following public comments by citizen Bryan Becker regarding the voting process from the council’s July meeting.
