The Groesbeck Lady Goats Varsity Volleyball team started their season Monday, August 7 with a win against Cayuga. The Lady Goats will be on the road for the next two weeks with the next home game being against North Zulch on Monday, August 22 with a game time of 6 p.m. District play for the Lady Goats will begin Friday, Sept. 8 in Groesbeck against Elkhart.
The Groesbeck Goats look to wratchet up their defensive pressure this football season and new defensive coordinator Audie Jackson has been tasked with leading the transition.
Groesbeck has played a readand- react style on defense in the past, but this season head coach Jerry Bomar wants his team to force the action and create more turnovers.
A friend and I were just about to call it quits and make a dash for the boat ramp after a tough morning of bass fishing. The big July sun climbed in the cloudless sky and there wasn’t a breath of wind to stir the sultry air. It was getting hotter by the minute and we’d both had enough.
Groesbeck Athletic Boosters 35th Annual Golf Tournament took place Saturday, July 29 and was a huge success. The event was held in Mart at Battle Lake Golf Course. Taking home the wins were; first place was Groeschke, Elhers, and the Flemmings with a score of 59.
