Of course, the 2020 general election was held last Tuesday, November 3, with the election including races all the way from the Courthouse to the White House.
As this column is being written it appears that the Democratic nominee, Joe Biden will be the next President of the United States and his running mate Kamala D. Harris will be next Vice-President of the USA.
Donald Trump and Michael Pence are the current President and Vice-President.
The presidential race results in some states are being challenged. In some states votes were still being counted during this past weekend according to reports on television.
Regardless of your preface in this presidential election, let’s remember: We are all Americans. and we are forunate to be citizens of the greatness nation on the face of the earth, the United States of America. We should all be proud to be citizens of this great country.
And may God countinue to bless the United States of America.
The election coverage in the Groesbeck Journal, The Mexia News, Teague Chronicle, and The Fairfield Recorder was great and very informative for the people of Limestone and Freestone Counties. Great Job!

In Groesbeck the Food for Families Food Drive will be at the Fishes & Loaves facility on West Navasota Street in downtown Groesbeck. The hours are from 6 a. m. to 7 p.m. Your help is needed to make this food drive a great success on the local level!
Local are folks really enjoyed the Fall Market event at Springfield Hall this past Saturday. Numerous vendors were present and displayed some very interesting merchandise with some very intersting items for sale. Many of these items had a holiday theme. Some very delicious food items were also sold. The Market items were featured both inside and outside. The weather was beautiful, and it was a true autumn day, and all present appeared to be having agreat time!
Once again, good luck to the Groesbeck Goats in their bi-district football game. The Goats will be playing the Dallas Madison Trojans on this Saturday night, November 14, at the Waco ISD Stadium. The game will start at 6 p.m. Best of Luck, Goats!
