NOTICE! NOTICE! Make yourself a note if interested: Limestone Medical Center will be on-site at Central Baptist Church on OCTOBER 8 at 10:30 A.M. to give FLU SHOTS. Bring your Medicare and Insurance cards. Otherwise, if you opt to pay out of pocket it will be $25 each. If you are under age 65 old, please let Janice know because the dose strength is different from 65 and over. Janice’s number is (254) 203-2769. If you live in the area and want to participate, you are invited to participate, even though you don’t partake of the meals each week.
Our attendance was down to 11 this past week and those receiving the meals were Gayla Lind. Bill Neason, Neennah German, Roger Watson, Fonetta Simmons, Ann Brown, Donna Lloyd, Geri Levassar, Sue Wood, Janice Bilbrey, and myself. Good to meet up with Sue Wood again and get a report on how she and husband, Woody are doing. Liz off in Vegas with daughter and son-in-law, and hope they had some good luck. Otherwise, I don’t know about all the others out this day. Hoping they weren’t sick.
Our lunch this week is to be Beef Stroganoff w/noodles, green beans, Wheat bread and ambrosia, and tea. Hope you will be able to come back to pick up your meal. Tell a friend about the program and invite them to participate. Hopefully, we will be able to assemble together soon.
I would like to congratulate the Thornton Masonic Lodge #486 on their new building downtown Thornton. It certainly adds to the Main street. The front door is very pretty and the windows are now in. Also if the weather would hold for a few pretty days, maybe the building of the new store and gas station out on Hwy. 14 could continue. Always good to see progress in a community.
No one has given me a report on the Covid-19 victims in our community but hopefully, everyone is recovering and will soon be able to return to work, as most are of the working outside the home age. Prayers are with everyone.
Once again voting time is getting closer and closer. Be in prayer about how you are going to vote as I’ve said before, this nation depends upon each one of us to do our part, and get out there and vote.
God Bless America and keep us strong and healthy.
