Wesley Don Foster “Squeaky”
Wesley Don “Squeaky” Foster passed away suddenly on March 14th, 2019, in Kosse, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at Prairie Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, March 23rd, at 1:00 PM. Family will gather at 11:30. All who knew him are welcome to participate in this service.
Squeaky was born June 10th, 1964, in Oklahoma City to Joe Dean Foster and Kathryn Joyce Gee. Squeaky struggled from an early age with drug addiction. This struggle cost him dearly through the years. Divorce and loss of relationships with children, estrangement from extended family and friends, difficulty in maintaining employment, and frequent incarceration defined almost his entire adult life. The affects of years of abuse ultimately destroyed his health, and contributed to his sudden passing.
In spite of the burdens addiction placed on him, Squeaky was engaging and made friends easily. He loved people and offered help to anyone who he knew had a need. He loved to fish, hunt, and waterski. He loved 70’s Rock ‘n Roll, cranked up loud enough to crack the windows. After also struggling for years with conviction from the Holy Spirit, he accepted Jesus as his savior and was baptized at Prairie Grove Baptist Church. Like all of us, Squeaky was a sinner. Now he is grinning that big, goofy grin in the presence of the one who can forgive any sin, if only we trust and obey.
Squeaky was preceded in death by his father, Joe Dean Foster of Velma, Oklahoma; his mother Kathryn Joyce Bray of Cuero, Texas; and his sister Marsha Gale Helms of Victoria, Texas.
He is survived by his daughter Misty Lozak and grandsons Toby and Trevlin Terry of Waco, Texas; son Cody Foster and grandsons Landon, Leighton, and Noah Foster of Cleburne, Texas; brother Russ Foster of Personville, Texas; aunt Jo Dulen of Duchesne, Utah; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
