Mary Kathryn LeNoir Breitkreutz
Mary was born Oct. 5, 1931 in Groesbeck Texas, the daughter of Earl M. LeNoir and Lilla Mae Hendrix LeNoir. She attended school at Horn Hill and graduated in 1949 from Groesbeck High School. She worked in Mart, Texas at Currie Drug from 1949 to 1950, where she met and later married Erwin C. Breitkreutz on Jan. 11, 1950. They had 3 children, Billy Earl, Janis Marie, and Donna Sue. They moved to Marlin in 1953 where she worked part-time for LP Gas Co. and later in a hardware business for almost 40 yrs. at Rush Gardener and Bartlett (which later became Ace hardware) before retiring in July 2003.
Mary was active in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and was one time a member of the Business and Professional Women. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Marlin where she was involved in Wesleyan Fellowship Sunday School and United Methodist Women. She also served on the bereavement and communion committee for the church. She found joy in sewing, quilting, doing yard work, and playing cards and dominoes.
Mary is proceeded in death by her father, mother, infant brother, and sister Buena Bennett.
Mary is survived by son Billy Earl and his wife Mary Ann, two daughters, Janis Marie Cromleigh and her husband James, Donna Sue Canady and her husband Bill. Grandchildren John Breitkreutz and wife Rosa, Nancy Breitkreutz and Tim Vieaux, Hope Millwood and husband Kevin, Christy Smith and husband Donnie, and Ryan Canady. Great grandchildren Samantha Breitkreutz, Tyler and Justin Murphy and Tyler Millwood, her sister Patricia Stone and husband G.Z (Peaches), and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends, including special sister in-law and best friend Jane Breitkreutz.
