Lola Sue Stutts Taylor

Lola Sue Stutts Taylor, Age 84 of Hurst, Texas went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2023. Lola was born on February 14, 1939, in Thornton, Texas to Jimmie & Verne Stutts, and attended the Thornton school. She married the love of her life Lynn E. Taylor on December 12, 1957. They were married for 43 years. Lola had two daughters, Lisa & Tonya. She also raised her nephew Darrell Stutts. She had two wonderful grandchildren, Tyler & Bryson. Her children & grandchildren meant the world to her. She was a mother & housewife and was very involved with the children’s school activities. She was a lifetime member of the PTA. Lola then started a career with the Casual Corner Group for 20 years before retiring.

One of her favorite things to do was bird watching. She made sure the birds were fed & taken care of. She also loved playing games, whether it was waa-hoo, or dominoes, she wasn’t a fan of losing. Winning was the name of the game for her. She loved planting flowers and taking care of her garden. She was a wonderful cook, & her dressing at Thanksgiving was her most famous dish.

Lola is survived by her daughters Lisa L. Taylor, & Tonya Thomas of Hurst, Texas, her grandchildren Tyler Thomas, & his fiance Sarah Adams of Princeton, Texas, Bryson Thomas and her fiance Jordan Jones of Rhome, Texas, and many other family members & dear friends. A memorial service for Lola will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Hurst on Saturday, June 3rd at 11:00 a.m.

Lola was preceded in death by her loving husband Lynn E. Taylor, her parents Jimmie & Verne Stutts, brothers Hamilton Wayne (Buddy), & Kenneth Stutts, sisters Jean Perkins, Billie Jones, Jimmie Sanders, Nelda Houston, nephew Darrell Stutts, and son-inlaw Chris Thomas.
