James Donald Levassar
A funeral service for Don Levassar, age 78, of Groesbeck, is scheduled at 10:00 o’clock in the morning Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Old Bethel Cemetery in Frankston, TX under the direction of Autry Funeral Home. Pastor Ben David Watson will officiate.
Mr. Levassar passed away Saturday, July 4th, 2020 in Waco.
He was born December 18, 1941, in Frankston, to Henry Thomas Levassar and Billie Ruth (Bailey) Levassar.
Don was a member of First Baptist Church Euless. He worked as a forklift operator for 30 years, and was a member of the Cusman Club of America, and enjoyed restoring Cusmans as well as riding motorcycles. He also loved spending time outside tending to his chickens and garden. Don was known to be very creative.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Thomas Earl Levassar.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 36 years Geri Levassar; daughter, Sheryl Rico of Canton; son, Steve Levassar and wife Lee of Arlington; step-daughters, Debbie Bacon and husband Duane of Ft. Worth, and Natalie Everitt and husband John of Burnet; brothers, David Loden and wife Becky and Ronnie Loden and wife Bonnie all of Athens; sisters, Carol Hunt and husband Dale of Elk City, OK, Janet Hendry, Pat Anding, Connie Rodgers and husband Billy all of Athens, and Ann Harper of Amarillo; four grandchildren Chelsea, Haley and husband Joshua, Victoria, Kristen, and Jake, and one great-grandson, Landon. He was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
