James “Jim” Cromleigh
James “Jim” Arnold Cromleigh, 68, husband of Janis Marie Breitkreutz Cromleigh, died Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born June 5, 1953, in New Britain, Connecticut, he was a son of the late James A. Cromleigh and the late Janet Albert Cromleigh. Mr. Cromleigh retired from the Department of Defense. He also spent time working at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and Kings Mountain National Military Park accumulating more than 25 years as a federal employee. He was an Alum and avid fan of Kansas State University where he played on the K-State football team.
Survivors in addition to his wife of 39 years include one daughter, Hope Millwood (Kevin of Bishopville; one grandson, Tyler Millwood; two sisters, Judy Eversfield (Vic) of Sabastian, Florida, and Jody Cromleigh of Reston, Virginia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John Cromleigh.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and after 2 p.m. Saturday at the home of Kevin and Hope Millwood, 2236 Green Lane, Bishopville.
Memorials may be sent to a charity of one’s choice in memory of Jim.
