David Ferguson

David Ferguson, 90, passed away on October 29, 2020 peacefully in his bed.

David was born on April 5, 1930 to Ethelene Jones and Charles Ferguson in Groesbeck, Limestone County, Texas.

He earned his PhD degree in piano at Columbia University, 1969 in New York.

Shortly thereafter he was offered a position as professor at Illinois University Southern, where he taught until 1978. He then resigned that job when a vacant position at Pepperdine University of California became available. He offered his services until he retired in 1996.

David had accomplished a lot in his life. He had seen the world and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a generous and loving man.

David is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary.

He is interned in La Salle cemetery. Groesbeck, Texas.
