Helen "Diane" Rainer was born Dec. 22, 1946, in Groesbeck, Texas, to Henry David Rainer and Lilly Lee Ray. She returned to her Heavenly Father on April 9, in Lampasas, Texas, at age 78.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lilly, her brothers, William David, Charles and Donnie and her sister, Peggy. She is survived by her siblings: Connie Smith, Paula Ward, and Dale Rainer, her sons, David Mason, Donnie Turner and Jason Tayler, her daughters, Dawn Lockaby and Linda Rikard, and many grandchildren.

Diane worked hard to provide for her family. She was a plasma cutter for US Steel, was Burlington Northern's first female conductor in Teague, Texas, and later spent many years in property management.

Diane especially loved her grandchildren, her pride and joy, and family get-togethers. She was an avid thrift shopper, enjoyed watching musicals with her children, when they were young, and fond of Oldies and Elvis. She was known for her Southern cooking and hardy character. Diane will be missed by many who appreciated her love and attention.
