Drucilla "Drew" R. Linnstaedter
Drucilla "Drew" R. Linnstaedter, 91, of Thornton, Texas, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on Sept. 27, 1933, in Houston, Texas, to Omie Winchester.Sr. and Mary 'Dollie' Winchester, Drew lived a life brimming with love, joy, and adventure. Drew's warm smile greeted many as a dedicated receptionist for numerous years. Her true passions, however, lay in the simple pleasures of life. She found immense joy in gardening, tending to her beloved flowers, and even took pride in mowing her own lawn on her riding mower. The flea market was her playground, where she delighted in selling treasures and finding new ones. Drew was a dessert connoisseur and an avid animal lover, especially of dogs that often found their way to her home. One of Drew's favorite activities was fishing. She cherished the tranquility of casting a line and the thrill of a good catch. Her love for sports was evident in her enthusiastic support for basketball and football, particularly the Golden State Warriors and the Kansas City Chiefs. Drew's adventurous spirit often led her to the bright lights
of Las Vegas and the lively casinos of WinStar in Oklahoma and Coushatta in Louisiana, where she and her family enjoyed many memorable moments.
Preceded in death by her first husband, William Carlton Taylor; parents, Omie Sr. and Mary Winchester; her siblings, Mary Schell and Omie Winchester; and her grandson, Lance Sanders. Drew leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived by her husband, James Linnstaedter;
her children, Brenda Sanders and her husband Rick Sanders, Robert Taylor, and James C. Linnstaedter and his wife Marita Linnstaedter; sister-in-law, Nelda Winchester; nephew. Terry Winchester and his wife Denise Winchester and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and other relatives, who will forever cherish her memory.
Drew's vibrant spirit and loving nature will be dearly missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was a testament to the beauty of simple joys and the power of love.
