Former President Donald Trump has just been convicted of 34 felony charges in his New York hush money criminal trial. Prosecutors charged Trump with participating in an illegal conspiracy to compromise the integrity of the 2016 election and executing an unlawful scheme to hide negative information, which involved concealing a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels. This culminated in 34 counts of falsifying business records. He is the first ever US President to be convicted of a felony. Judge Juan Merchan has set his sentencing hearing for July 11.
