Groesbeck National Night Out ‘23 took place Tuesday, August 1 with a packed park through the night. This year’s attractions included the Waco Slingshot, the Amazon Zip Line, the Ballistic carnival chair ride, a mechanical bull, a 26’ rock climbing wall, a face painting station, a photo booth, free swimming, and a dunking booth featuring the one and only GISD school superintendent, Anthony Figueroa, and G.H.S principal, Dr. Bonnie Bomar.
The featured musical entertainment was a local favorite, Diamondback Tx.
A casual dinner from the food court was available for those in attendance.
Various law enforcement agencies were present, as well as informational booths from different organizations: ranging from recruiting from the Texas DPS Highway Patrol, pipeline safety from ONEOK,
NNO - PG. 10 a fan program from AccentCare Senior Services, student registrations for Groesbeck Independent School District and LARAS House with free pet microchipping. Also present were the Texas Game Wardens, Texas Towing, Limestone County Victim Services, the Family Abuse Center (Waco), and Limestone County Crime Stoppers.
“The Groesbeck Police Department Family appreciates everyone who attended and battled the heat with us today,” said Groesbeck Police Chief Henson, “It may be hard to tell in our end-ofday picture, but we had a great time and we’re really glad you came out to see us.”
The annual National Night Out is a free event, made possible by the work and efforts of your Groesbeck Police Department and sponsorships by many of our local businesses and organizations.
