Patricia Ann Hanyan Rand

Patricia Ann Hanyan Rand, age 83 of College Station, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023. She was born to the late Howard Haskell Hanyan and Ina Indiana Hanyan on August 21, 1939, in Strawn, Texas.

Family and friends were Patricia’s passion and delight. She grew up in Groesbeck, Texas.

At the age of 14, Patricia and Glendall first met at a High School coronation. After dating 4 years, they married on September 28, 1957, at the First Baptist Church in Groesbeck.

They were happily married for 66 years. They moved 18 times each time taking her love for each other and family with them. They have lived in College Station for over 20 years where they have enjoyed attending many sporting and musical events. Patricia is survived by her husband Glendall B. Rand of College Station.

In addition to the many loving years spent with Glendall, the other great highlight of her life was raising her three boys: Ronald (deceased), Casey, and Garry. She enjoyed being with her family more than anything. Her family grew larger when Casey married Suzie Schmidt and they have two sons Ryan and Tyler. Ryan married Kaitlin Kennedy and Tyler is engaged to Laura Pava. Garry married Tracy Thweatt and they have one daughter Lakin.

The family wishes to thank all of those at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan who provided wonderful care for her during her last days.

A funeral service for Patricia will be held Monday, July 24, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Chapel - College Station, 2901 Texas Avenue South, College Station, Texas 77845.
