GISD Board Reviews Performance Reports and Innovation Plans | Groesbeck Journal

Cindy Ensminger and Deana Rand presented several proposed revisions to the District of Innovation (DOI) Plan to the GISD Board of Trustees at the meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Deana Rand explained the process for determining the proposed 2022-2023 district calendar, which included a later holiday break from Dec-Jan and monthly student holidays to allow for staff development.

GISD announced good news for the Groesbeck High School Welding program. Director of Instructional Services Cindy Ensminger told the board that she applied for three Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) Grants and has recently been notified that they received one in the amount of $778,730.
