Auto pedestrian fatality crash - DPS seeks assistance

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), on Friday, September 9, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Troopers responded to an auto-pedestrian crash on IH-45 near mile marker 192, south of Fairfield. A vehicle crashed into a pedestrian and left the scene. The pedestrian, Ervin Daniels, 65, of Buffalo, was pronounced dead at the scene. The next of kin have been notified. The investigation is active and ongoing.
