ABOVE/BELOW: A few dozen Thornton area residents gathered for an early Thanksgiving dinner at the Mary Helen Nance Community Center on Friday, Nov. 12 where they enjoyed good food, company, and the giving spirit with local family and friends.

Volunteers at the Thornton Community Thanksgiving had the foresight to portion out desserts and place them at the end of the serving line, for easy access to guests after they finished their traditional meal of turkey, dressing, and a variety of sides.
