Dawn Wedgman

Mrs. Dawn Joan Wedgman, of Groesbeck, Texas passed away September 17th, 2021 at the age of 89.

Joan was the daughter of Glenn and Gladys Moss and had two brothers, Lindy and Grayson. Joan was born around Hobart, In. in 1932. She held many jobs over the years including driving a school bus, serving as an attendant in the school lunchroom, and working as an administrative assistant for several different companies in both Huntsville, AL and Groesbeck, TX. She loved spending time with her family and was a member of Prairie Grove Baptist church in Groesbeck, Tx.

Joan was preceded in death by the love of her life for 59 years, Alvis Eugene Wedgman, who passed away on June 8th, 2021, and her brother Lindy Moss.

Joan is survived by her four children, Ann Marie Cole (Gary), Caryl Lee Griffith (Jeff), Melinda Mattox, and Matthew Wedgman (Ashley); five grandchildren, Brandon Griffith (Lindsey) , Amber Zigler (Jeffrey), Alexander Wedgman, Sarah Wedgman, and Eli Wedgman; two great grandchildren, Jace Griffith and Emma Zigler; and brother Grayson Moss.

Joan will be remembered for her deep love for God, husband and family.

A graveside celebration of life will be planned at Prairie Grove Baptist cemetery in Texas on October 9th, 2021 at 11am.
