Teresa Dianne Hodges
Teresa Dianne Hodges, of Oletha, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, after a long hard-fought battle with cancer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Dianne was born May 6, 1954 in Baytown to William Franklin Sanders and Bobby Jean Ivy Sanders. She grew up there and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in the Class of 1972.
Dianne continued to live in Baytown where she raised her two children and worked.
Dianne was united in marriage with Jackie Leon “Jack” Hodges on July 15, 1989 in Thornton. After living a few more years in Baytown, they moved to “the Ranch” in the Oletha community. They built their home there in 1992 and raised cattle on their ranch.
After moving to Limestone County, Dianne worked at Farmers State Bank and then at First National Bank-Citizens State Bank in Groesbeck, until retiring in 2018. She made a lot of friends with her customers and co-workers during her work at the banks.
Dianne had always liked being outdoors and loved living in the country. She liked cooking and gardening. She loved being “Moo-Moo” to her grandchildren and liked having them spend weeks with her at the ranch. She also enjoyed deer hunting with Jack, both on their ranch and all over Texas.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Michael Sanders; and nephew, Brent Sanders.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Hodges; daughter and son-in-law, Kerri and David Ortiz of Mont Belvieu; son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Laurie Bench of Mont Belvieu; step-son, Kenny Hodges; grandchildren: Josh Hodges, Dalton Hodges, Bryce Ortiz, Jacklynn Ortiz, Hayden Bench, Lane Bench, and Jaxon Bench; great grandchildren Harper Hodges and Gage Hodges; a brother, Kirk Sanders of Baytown; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and friends.
